Eish! Your website went down.
We’ll tell you before your customers do. EishUp checks your site every minute from Johannesburg, Durban and Cape Town, and sends you a message the moment it’s really down.
6 of our probes are checking websites right now
Three steps. Zero false alarms.
-
1
We check
Every minute, 6 probes in Johannesburg, Durban and Cape Town visit your website, ping your server or look up your DNS, each on its own network.
-
2
The probes vote
One probe having a bad day isn’t your problem. We only call it “down” when most of them agree.
-
3
You get a ping
An email or Telegram message (plus WhatsApp alerts on paid plans) telling you what broke and where, and another when it’s back.
One probe grumbles
Probably a bad route on its side. We note it, and nobody gets woken up.
Most of them say eish
That’s a real outage. You get one clear alert, listing what each probe saw.
Keeps an eye on all of it
Websites
Is it up? Is it slow? Is the right page showing? Is the SSL certificate about to expire? We check all of it, every minute.
Servers & links
Ping anything with an IP address, over IPv4 or IPv6: servers, routers, your office fibre.
DNS & DNSSEC
Make sure your domain still points where it should, and catch broken DNSSEC before it takes you offline.
Status pages
A public page your customers can check (“are they down, or is it me?”) with 90 days of history.
Groups
Two internet links? Only shout when both are down. One link dropping is just a warning.
Your whole team
On Business, invite colleagues with their own logins as admins or read-only members. Two-factor sign-in for everyone.

What does “eish” mean?
It’s what we say in South Africa when something goes wrong. Like finding out your website has been down since breakfast. We’d rather you heard it from us first.
Do I need to be technical?
No. Paste your website address and we do the rest. The techie bits (ping, DNS, IPv6, DNSSEC) are there when you want them.
Where are your probes?
In Johannesburg, Durban and Cape Town, on 5 different networks, so one provider having a wobble doesn’t look like your outage.
Is it really free?
Yes. 10 monitors with every feature, for as long as you like. If you outgrow it, paid plans start at R99 a month.
